Facebook Timeline for Business Pages – Are You Ready?
The end of March 2012 sees the roll out of the new Facebook Timeline format to all Facebook business pages. Are you ready?
Here’s what you need to know about the new Facebook Timeline format.
The cover image needs to be at least 399px wide. Important to note – the Facebook rules state that you cannot use any sort of promotional language or call to actions. You are not allowed to reference other Facebook elements such as the Like button.
The profile image needs to be a square and at least 180px in width. If you’re using a skyscraper style profile image on your current page, you’ll need to review this.
Add your complete company history to the Facebook Timeline milestone feature to build up a complete historical record of important events in your company history. Great for building customer loyalty and trust.
You can highlight what is important by “pinning” a post at the top of your Facebook Timeline stream for up to a week at a time.
