MD gets on his bike …. for charity!

Chris Bantock, our MD, is undertaking a challenge this September to raise money for Rennie Grove Hospice Care charity, and we are looking for your support!Isle Of Wight Challenge

The Challenge

The challenge is to cycle 350 miles in 4 days! It is called the ‘Isle of Wight Challenge’ and he will be cycling from St Albans to the Isle of Wight and back.

Day 1 – Cycle from St Albans to Southampton and then ferry to Isle of Wight
Day 2 – Cycle round the Isle of Wight
Day 3 – Cycle from Southampton to Swindon
Day 4 – Cycle from Swindon to the finish at St Albans

This challenge has been organised by FORGE (Friends of Rennie Grove) which is a group of around 30 businessmen of varying ages and abilities including the head of the local Clydsdale Bank who is partially sighted and will be undertaking the challenge on a Tandem. The team is headed up by Graham Poll – the ex premier league referee.

Rennie Grove Hospice Care ( is a charity providing care and support for patients diagnosed with cancer and other life-limiting illness and their families. It is the charity’s 30th Birthday this year.

Chris who only started cycling seriously last year says “I am certainly a little apprehensive to say the least. I have not cycled this far and on consecutive days before, so this will really test my fitness and stamina. Still, it is all for a great cause and will be an experience I will not forget.”

We are asking for you to support Chris in his endeavours by making a contribution to his fundraising – any amount however small will provide valuable funds to this very worthwhile cause.
